"My art attempts to recapture some of the joys of my childhood," declares Hunter George, an internationally recognized watercolor artist, who bills his work as "Reflections of the Past." Hunter's desire is to preserve a cultural history that is quickly fading. His love of old buildings, antique vehicles, and landscapes dominates his portfolio; however, the romance of the French Riviera, where he frequently visits his daughter and grandchildren, also captures his imagination.
Hunter studied art, design and photography at Virginia Commonwealth University where he earned his BFA. His prize-winning paintings may be seen in art galleries throughout Texas. He is a member of the Watercolor Art Society of Houston and has served as past president for the Art Directors Club of Houston as well as a member of the Texas state board of the American Institute of Graphic Artists.
Hunter works in his home-studio where, along with his original paintings, he accepts commissioned orders, makes Giclee prints and designs custom note cards.
